Temporal arteritis as a cause of FUO

65 yrs old lady referred from elsewhere with history of 4 weeks pyrexia and headaches associated with pain in hips jaw shoulders and scalp tenderness O/e chest clear neurological exam unremarkable CVS-pan systolic murmur P/A Nad INV: Tc 15 k Crp 80 ESR 110 Multiple Blood & urine cultures negative CT chest abdomens & brain imaging did not yield any significant information Echo moderate MR no Vegetation’s. Rheumatology work up negative. Tumour markers negative. Thyroid screening normal. ATemporal artery biopsy done and diagnosis of Temporal Arteritis was made. Patient was managed with steroids
